THE HELL-RAISER

Based on The New Yorker article by Kalefah Sanneh, “The Hell-Raiser” tells the story of Rob Bell, a renegade evangelical preacher whose open-minded theology turned out to be too challenging for the hugely successful megachurch he founded in west Michigan. The film follows his evolution from apprentice to one of the founders of the Moral Majority, to southern California surfer delivering his message to enthusiastic crowds at West Hollywood nightclubs.
